The
rebuild materials include all new components, (brick, mortar, flues, et
al). We will match the new brick as closely as possible. The chimney
will be laid back up to code. The rebuild also includes new flashing where
needed. The roof and site will be left as found.
Tuckpointing
For this service we grind out all joints from the damaged spot of the chimney
up. We replace what we've removed with "Type S" mortar, (the
strongest mortar available). After the mortar sets, (approximately 2
days), we acid wash where needed. The roof and site will be left as found.
Firebox Repair and Replacement
We can replace the whole firebox or just one brick if needed. To take
out any brick on the backwall, we will price as replacing the whole wall, due to
the construction of most chimneys. If we are able to replace individual
bricks in the backwall, there will only be a charge for those bricks replaced.
